Platinum Turnout Blanket
These durable blankets feature a waterproof and breathable 1680 denier nylon* outer shell with a seamless back to keep your horse dry.  It has gusseted shoulders, a contoured rump and a tail flap for comfort and mobility.  The blanket has fleece on the withers to prevent rubbing and Dee rings for hood attachment.  It has a double buckle front, criss-cross belly straps (2 wide webbing with snaps on both ends) and rear, hidden, elastic leg straps.  Finally, the blanket has 300 grams of fiberfill insulation and a 70 denier coating polishing inner lining.  When ordering, please specify by size and color. 

* This type of material was first used by the military in World War II to make Flak jackets for our soldiers.  These vests protected our soldiers from the shrapnel of artillery shells and bombs.  It was replaced by Kevlar in military applications and has moved into the private sector to provide a lightweight material that is extremely light and durable and practically tear-proof.  It is waterproof and breathable and makes a tough, durable blanket.
